The true connoisseur of life can enjoy all these ? and more ? with the latest innovation? The DDP-5 36" Induction Cooktop.
Induction has come a long way in the past 20 years. The first cook tops were bulky, heavy and poorly designed with no provision for increased safety. Their power capacity was minimal and the availability of ancillary products (cookware) almost non-existent. Today?s cook tops require minimal under counter space with advanced cooling features and electronic microprocessors that monitor every system simultaneously ensuring the highest performance levels inside and outside the cook top.
In the past, induction cook tops were notorious for shutting down during meal preparation. The reason was due to overheated coils and generators. This problem led to damaged cookware, and even worse, damaged cook tops that were extremely expensive to repair let alone replace. Today?s advanced electronic systems constantly monitor glass, coil and generator temperatures. Thermostats adjust power levels to maintain efficient cooking temperatures while maintaining component temperatures at acceptable levels. These systems prevent product from boiling over, cookware from warping and oil from reaching its flash point. From a safety standpoint, these systems prevent the glass from achieving temperatures, which can burn skin or bake product, which causes unnecessary clean up.
This stunning cooktop represents an art carried to perfection. It features the latest in induction technology exquisitely designed with toughened vitroceramic glass, stainless steel and the latest in electronic technology. It incorporates 5 cooking zones with the use of 3 ? 2.8kW generators. This amount of power has never before been available for use and ensures the capacity to go, within a blink of an eye, from extremely low temperatures (50W) to extremely high temperatures (2.8kW) with perfectly homogeneous heat diffusion. This technology is comparable to no other in the North American market.
 | The design of this cook top incorporates three cooking zones broken down into 2-Double Burner and a larger Central Burner. Each of these configurations is powered by a 2.8kW generator, which either provides full power to each separate burner or a shared proportion of the power when both burners are engaged.
An integrated touch panel controls each burner. The control unit is built into the glass, is smooth to the touch and incorporates a capacitive technology that has a better pressure sensitivity, which is not easily affected by different lighting conditions. It offers 12 power settings and 3-programmed settings for medium, high and a boost setting for boiling. |
Double Burner Configuration:
 | Each double burner configuration consists of a 6" and a 9" ring. The 6" ring supplies between 50W to 2.0kW and will accommodate pans ranging in size from 4" to 7" in diameter. This burner is ideal for products requiring slower cooking methods such as sauces and creams or for smaller quantities and individual portions. The 9" ring supplies between 50W and 2.8kW and will accommodate pans ranging in size from 7" to 9". This burner is specially adapted for the most commonly used cookware. |
Central Burner:
 | The Central Burner consists of an expandable 11" ring. It supplies between 50W to 2.8kW and by utilizing a pan recognition sensor built into the coil will automatically adapts itself to accommodate pans ranging in size from 4" to 14" in diameter. This feature is called the Multiple Crown Burner and it is only available on the 5 Burner Induction Cook Top by Diva de Provence.
The Multiple Crown Burner ensures optimal power for any size pan between 4" and 14" in diameter. By expanding the induction coil it spreads out the magnetic wave thereby spreading the heat more evenly over the surface of the pan base. This ensures homogeneous cooking temperatures.
This burner is ideal for larger sized products like pancakes, meat, fish, stews & casseroles, larger quantity recipes or for cast-iron griddle plates.
