Will all cookware work on Diva Induction products? |
| No, for cookware to work on induction it requires a ferrous metal base or layer. This ferrous metal is necessary as it is the layer that will get hot when placed in the electromagnetic field. Generally speaking, most stainless steel cookware and cast iron cookware will work on induction cooktops. Copper, glass and aluminum cookware will not work on induction. To test your cookware to see if it will work on induction, try to stick a magnet to the base. If it sticks it will work. |

| No, Diva induction cooktops are not certified as Sabbath and holiday compliant because they will not remain on indefinitely. Automatic shut-off is one of the many safety features available on Diva induction cooktops and modifications to meet this compliance are being tested at this time. Even though the larger induction cooktops may not meet the requirements for kosher cooking, the DDP-2 12" two burner induction cooktop is the perfect extra burner set for dairy preparations. All Diva custom ranges meet Sabbath and Holiday compliance. |

|
Do I need ventilation for your induction cooking product? |
| All cooking products need to be properly ventilated. Diva Induction cooking products do not require the same ventilation as gas or electric cooktops or ranges because they do not give off excess heat or gas emissions. Ventilation is required to properly exhaust grease-laden vapours, which will occur during frying or saut?ing. |

Can my hood be smaller than my cooking product? |
| No. Your hood needs to at least match the width of the cooking product you are placing it over. Ideally, your hood should exceed the width of your cooking product by 6? (3? on each side).

|
How high should my hood be installed? |
| Hoods should be installed between 30? and 36? above countertops and cooking surfaces. |
|

| Diva recommends a blower size that will accommodate a rate of 100 cfm/linear foot of cooking surface for our range and cooktop products. |
|
What does CFM stand for? |
| CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. Generally, it is recommended that for every 100 BTUs of heat generated by a cooking vessel, the blower in a hood should move 1 CFM of air. |
|
Can I use a downdraft with my Diva cooking products? |
| Downdrafts can be used for our induction cooktops, ranges require overhead ventilation. |
|
Can an induction cooktop be installed under a microwave? |
| Yes, neither product will interfere with each other. |
|
What is Power Sharing? |
| Power sharing is a unique technology available through Diva Induction cooktops, whereby each induction burner can have a higher output while sharing the power from its generator. Power sharing only occurs when a 6" and 9" burner are utilized at the same time from the same generator. In this case, the generator shares the power between them and limits the MAX POWER setting of each coil. While sharing power, burners can be set up to 92% of the MAX POWER setting or up to setting 11 of 12. |
|
Why Diva Induction cooktops DO NOT have a power boost setting? |
| Power boost is used on burners that have a lower output and allows those burners to have a "temporary" higher power setting. In addition, this "temporary" setting is limited to only 2 or 3 of the burners at one time. If the setting is used on more burners, it shuts off automatically and reduces the power on all the engaged burners to their normal max power. In most cases, power boost cannot be reactivated after the power has been reduced back to the normal high setting. Diva cooktops do not require such a setting because the normal maximum power output far exceeds the boost output of other manufacturers. |
